WATERFALLS, CAVES, DAM.
Manavgat Waterfall

Manavgat Waterfalls are not high. They are milky white and the foaming water rushes powerfully over the rocks. Next to the waterfalls there are shady tea gardens and restaurants making the falls a pleasant and cool resting spot, especially welcome after a day of sightseeing.
If you have time to explore this region further, you can take a delightful boat trip up to Manavgat River.

The Dudan Waterfalls

All the streams of the region aim at finding their way into the Mediterranean and they pour down the slopes of the Tauros, sometimes overland sometimes underground and, reaching their destination, result in lovely waterfalls, of which there are more than twenty. The loveliest of these are the Duden Falls, 15 km. north of Antalya. Not far from Airport.

Kursunlu Waterfall

The Oympinar Dam, Manavgat, Antalya

Due to the abundance of water in the Antalya region dams have been built to provide power and irrigation. The most important of these dams is the Oymapinar Dam.
When it was built in 1984, it was the 3rd biggest dam in Turkey, but in 2005 it is now 5th. It has four turbines which are located underground and each of them has a capacity of 135 megawatt per hour. Total capacity is 540 megawatt.
18 km from Manavgat, pass the village: Oymapinar Koyu, and shortly you will reach the entrance gate of the Oymapinar Baraji(Dam). 3 km inside this turn is the dam and reservoir lake of Manavgat. This place is a guarded place, and you will need to take identification (e.g. Passport). It does say you can not take any pictures (but we did!).
Zeytintasi Cave

The Zeytintasi cave is situated at the southern slope of Zeytintasi Hill within the borders of Akbas Village and the town of Serik. It has an altitude of 220m. The cave is 54km to Antalya, 16 Km to Serik, 10 km to Aspendos and 28 km to Belek Tourism Center (The Mediterranean Sea).
The cave is 14m bellow the ground and has two levels. The upper level is 136m including the side galleries and the lower one is 97m long.
The cave has many stalactites, stalagmites columns and dripstones. It is unique with its macaroni type stalactites 0.03m. in width and 0.70m. in length.
It was discovered by coincidence in 1997 while excavating for a stone quarry through a man made gallery of 10m.
The location of the cave and its environs has a typical Mediterranean climate, thus all types of Mediterranean plants grow here. The air and the nature of the place gives you the feeling of tranquility and serenity.
The cave was formed on clear fault line covered by ancient Sura-Kretase limestone and is surrounded by impermeable elements both at the bottom and on the sides.
The cave is named after the Zeytintasi Hill where the it is located.
